The Catty Series
I started something...indeed I did. What began as quick art on my Wacom Bamboo Tablet, is now morphing into a list of cute characters. Cats to be precise. So far the ones that I am showing you are complete. Remember, these are simple drawings, but ones that I believe may make themselves out to be more. Possibly a children's book by yours truly...we shall see. Enjoy them:

Iron River School and Bug Crazy
I want to thank all the staff involved in having me come to Iron River School and read my book, Bug Crazy to the kids on Wednesday! It was a really great time. The kids asked some very good questions, made some funny, and wonderful comments. I truly enjoy what I do. If it was not for libraries, schools, publishers, and book stores...I would not be able to do this. From the bottom of my heart, I respect and appreciate all the support I get. Cannot wait to do this again and again!

Poem for kids 3: Mud is up to My Nose
I jump into a puddle
Mud is up to my nose
I push my feet in deeper while wiggling my toes
Mom says not to get so dirty
But it's already to late
I have goop and grime all over me
And it's feeling great!

Dreaming When You Wake
Don't stop dreaming when you wake
Open your eyes to the surreal story around you
Take a deep breath and walk through the rainbow of forest
Jump into the inky blue ocean of your soul
Swim and bask in the sun of your imagination
Allow it to take flight and carry you to the depths of your subconscious
Don't stop dreaming when you wake
Expect the journey to start in the warmth of your home
Let it take root and spread it's feathery wings out to the corners of the world
The words will spill out of you onto the page
Giving life to the lifeless tree so that it may never be in vain.

Turn it Off!
You gain inspiration off of other great works. Also, do not spend so much time reading up on how to write better. That can be a distraction too. Read enough to get you going, then write, write, write. After you write, then cut, cut, cut. Editing is so important in making sure your work is polished, and does not repeat itself or utilize useless jargon. There! I wrote this! I am accountable. I now must put my owns words into practice. Fair thee well! Let me just reach for my fly swatter...and SPLAT! There, no more procrastination bug. Sigh...I wish it was that simple.

Adventure is a Read Away!
Adventure afoot under my feet and over my head
Will I feel the dragon's breath on my skin
Will I hear the distant cries of warriors fighting for their kin
Adventure afoot swirling above and below my bed
I leap into the ocean and feel the water envelope me like a blanket
I taste the salty air on my tongue and I savor it
Adventure afoot singing me a familiar song
A love story tragedy in a vile of posion
An apple so red but a queen you can't put your trust in
Adventure is but a read away
It can make you cry, dance, and sway
If you have never been to a place before
Pick up a book and it will give you the tour!
